Boise Overcomes Telford’s 19 Points, Deals Lake City First Loss Of Season

Boise overcame Natalie Telford’s 19-point performance to hand the visiting Lake City Timberwolves (3-1) their first loss, 66-46, Friday night in a non-league game.

Boise was 24-36 from the foul line, and three Timberwolves fouled out.

Heidi Umthun scored 10 of her 32 points in the first quarter as the Trojans crushed the Lumberjacks in a non-league game.

Umthun shot 13-18 from the field, including going 3 for 7 from 3-point range.

The Trojans, who only have nine players on their roster, lost three to the flu.

Post Falls improved its record to 2-0. The Lumberjacks dropped to 0-1.

Nieman finished with a game-high 21 points, while teammate Nikki Ross had nine rebounds.

Sandpoint’s defense tallied 21 steals and limited Lakeland to 24 percent shooting from the field.
