Local Bowler Wins Title

Gary Mage of Spokane captured his third Northwest PBA regional bowling title Sunday when he defeated Hugh Miller of Centralia, Wash., 234-214 in the championship match at the Rose Bowl in Portland.

In earlier matches, Mage beat fellow Spokane bowler Matt Surina 221-212. Surina finished fourth and won $700. Mage, proprietor at Diamond Bowl, earned $2,000 for his first regional win since 1982.
