For Pamela, Some Roles Come More Naturally

Compiled By Staff Writer Rick Bo

It’s not so unusual to hear someone saying that “Baywatch” star Pamela (Anderson) Lee couldn’t act her way out of a wet T-shirt.

But when the speaker is Lee herself, well, that’s a different story.

“I know what my talents are, and I know I’m a very creative person, and I know that there are things that I’m really good at,” she told an “Entertainment Tonight” interviewer. “I don’t think acting is really one of them.

“I look at movies and I watch these wonderful actors and I go, ‘I don’t think I have the passion for that to really become that good or that driven. I like having fun.”’

Lee, pregnant again after a miscarriage, added she and rocker hubby Tommy Lee of Motley Crue are excited about becoming parents: “I’ve always wanted to be a mother. This is what your body is meant to be.”

Loose talk

Alec Baldwin, on life as a new papa: “I used to wake up and ask myself where do I want to go, or what do I want to do? That’s all over. Now, I wake up and think: The baby! Is it time to feed her? Does her diaper need changing? Then the baby passes gas and I’m elated.”

So who is this guy? One can only presume

Stanley Livingston turns 45 today.

But don’t be expecting, like, a virgin birth

Madonna, also anxious to become a mommy, said in a VH1 interview Wednesday that she would bring up her kids as Catholics. “As sexist and patriarchal as Catholicism is,” she said, “I think it still had a good effect on me in many ways and it made me ask a lot of questions.”

Oh, so the girl just needs better material

Madonna’s ex, actor-cum-director Sean Penn, says she’s gotten a bad rap for her acting abilities. “I think she’s an untapped actress,” Penn told Entertainment Weekly. “Given the right material, I’d work with Madonna. She’s a very specific presence in the world and in my life.”

Making ‘Showgirls’ did take a lot of guts

Seamy screenwriter Joe Eszterhas (“Showgirls,” “Jade”) says his new project, “One Night Stand,” is a bit of a departure: “It’s a love story about spiritual life, spiritual death and family responsibility, and it is about the heart, not the glands.”

Call this one the princess and the peeved

British aristocrat Sir Charles Rowley, reacting to Princess Diana’s no-holds-barred BBC interview (which airs for American audiences tonight on ABC): “If (her) nanny had used a hair brush and spanked her occasionally, it might have been a different result.”

And he knows who’s the guilty party, girl

Among the lively lasses who managed to make People magazine’s list of Top 10 Party Girls: Naomi Campbell, Sharon Stone, Anna Nicole Smith, Drew Barrymore, Bridget Hall, Ivana Trump, Marisa Tomei, Debi Mazar, Kitty Carlisle Hart (still schmoozing at age 80) and … Kato Kaelin? Explained the editors: “OK, so he’s not technically a party girl, but if the shoe fits, who’s going to acquit?”
