Willis Buys License To Sell Liquor In Boise
After making his mark in Hailey by buying up a large portion of downtown, actor Bruce Willis is turning his gaze to Boise.
The movie tough guy has extended his entrepreneurial reach from the Wood River Valley to the Treasure Valley, by buying a Boise liquor license.
Willis’ Valley Entertainment purchased the license from Marne and Rich Sieber in August.
The Siebers had two liquor licenses at the time. Willis paid $102,000 - $2,000 more than asked.
As for Willis’ intentions, “I don’t know what they’re going to do,” Rich Sieber said. “I’ve heard rumors.”
Willis, hero of “Die Hard” and its sequels, owns the Dynomite Lounge in Ketchum and the Mint restaurant in Hailey.
Willis moved to Hailey about eight years ago. He and his wife, actress Demi Moore, have a home along the Big Wood River.
About two years ago, Valley Entertainment began buying decaying properties on Hailey’s Main Street.
