Bazooka Gum’s Wrap Gets New Look

Bubble gum chewers may do a double-take: The Bazooka gum wrapper is getting a facelift.

For the first time in Bazooka’s 49-year history, a new logo will adorn the wrapper: still red, white and blue, but with a lightning-shaped yellow border between each color, a giant pink bubble and new lettering.

“The new repackaging retains the instant familiarity of Bazooka while freshening up the product,” said Arthur Shorin, president of Topps Co., which produces Bazooka.

One thing that won’t change is the “Bazooka Joe” comic, which will continue to be included with the soft pink gum.
