Arts Groups Awarded Three-Year Grants

Five local arts groups will receive money through the Idaho Commission on Arts to help them pay salaries for their programs.

The grants are for three years, but must be renewed annually.

Recipients are: Kootenai County Arts Council, $6,600; the Carousel Players, $7,500; the Panida Theater, $7,500; Post Falls Arts Commission, $2,500; and St. Maries Council for the Arts, $2,500.

The money comes from the National Endowment for the Arts and is dispersed through the state arts commission. The next deadline for renewal applications is June 1996. For information, call (208) 334-2119.
