NEW FACES:

Rhonda Nichols has joined Crowley Realty Better Homes and Gardens as an agent. Nichols worked previously as a legal secretary and paralegal, and worked in management at Sears in Seattle.

Shelby Ness has joined Paine, Hamblen, Coffin, Brooke & Miller as administrator. Her responsibilities include human resources and administration for the firm’s three offices. Ness is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and completed the graduate-level legal assistant program at the University of San Diego. She most recently was office administrator and director of human resources at the the Los Angeles office of White & Case.

Melody Larson, a licensed agent for property casualty, life and health, has joined Northwest Insurance Brokers as an account executive. Larson has 14 years of experience in the insurance business and previously was with Buck and Affiliates.

Michael Martindale has joined Re/ Max West Plans, Airway Heights, as a sales associate. Martindale, who is a graduate of Spokane Community College, specializes in residential properties and relocation.

Dr. George Stachecki has joined Holy Family Hospital’s medical staff at Diakonia Family Health, 123 W. Cascade Way. Stachecki received his medical degree from the University of Washington College of Medicine.

Tel-West Communications Inc. has hired the following new employees:

Chad Skidmore, systems engineer, will be responsible for internal and external network engineering activities. Skidmore was previously in charge of information systems at Zak Designs.

Denise Nelson, administrative support, will be involved in all aspects of providing office assistance. Nelson was previously with KC Properties as an administrative assistant.

Gregg Kummer, account executive, provides in-depth analysis on telephone usage for local businesses. He most recently worked for Access Long Distance Co. as senior account executive.

Diane Rowihab was hired to implement the new agent relations program. She previously was an account manager at NorthWest Telecommunications.

Re/Max Preferred Realtors has added the following people to its staff:

John Corcoran has Re/Max’s Coeur d’Alene office as a licensed assistant. Corcoran specializes in residential and vacation/resort properties.

Steven Hildahl has joined Re/ Max’s Valley office as broker and part owner. Hildahl was affiliated with Windermere Real Estate prior to joining Re/Max, and specializes in residential properties and relocation.

Robbin Hansen has been named the first Eastern Washington Sentencing Advocate/Social Worker for the Washington Defender Association. She will still be working out of the Spokane County Defenders Office.

Windermere Real Estate’s Spokane East-Sprague office has added two sales associates:

Joe Sturckler, most recently with Tomlinson Realty Inc., has five years of real estate experience.

Robert Knack, new to real estate, has most recently been with Key Tronic Corp.

MOVING UP:

David Miller has been appointed vice president/chief information officer for Sacred Heart Medical Center. Miller has been involved with Sacred Heart for three years in consulting work for information services.

Janet Martin is the new director/ manager of Emergency, Trauma and Outreach Services at Sacred Heart Medical Center. Martin, a registered nurse, most recently served as assistant nurse manager of the Emergency Department.

Joel Simpson has been promoted to vice president and general manager of The Coeur d’Alenes Co., Industrial Fabrication Division. Simpson most recently worked as general manager and has held various other positions within the company.

Carol Clubb and Paul Reickers of BDO Seidman have been promoted to senior associates. Clubb is a Washington State University graduate and became a CPA in 1988. Reickers is a University of Nevada graduate.

Patricia Conaty of BDO Seidman has been promoted to audit and accounting manager. Conaty has a degree from the University of Iowa.

ELECTED:

1995-96 officers and board members of National Speakers Association Inland Northwest Network are: Vern Westgate, president; Mary Ann Sanger, vice president; Marilyn Montgomery, vice president-finance and treasurer; Kay Pacheco, vice president-programs and education; Roger Reser, vice president-membership; Gail Mangano, secretary and newsletter; Reed Daugherity, director; and Joe McBride, director.

The Inland Northwest World Trade Council’s new president is JoAnn Nielsen of the Community Colleges of Spokane. Matt McCoy of United Parcel Service is first vice president, and Peter Raven of Eastern Washington University is the second vice president. Candace Frasher of Arbor Crest Winery is the treasurer.

The Washington Dry Pea and Lentil Commission has elected Don Driscoll, president of Northwest Peas & Bean of Spokane, to the processor position on the commission. Driscoll, who has been with Northwest Pea & Bean for 12 years, will serve a three-year term.

KUDOS:

Linda Bruce, finance deputy of Spokane County, is one of 36 members of the Municipal Treasurer’s Association of the United States and Canada, awarded the Association’s Certified Municipal Finance Administrator credential. Recipients are required to meet specified education and experience standards in order to accumulate the necessary points for certification, and must renew the credential every five years.

Anthony Teeters has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to use the CFP certification mark and the marks CFP and Certified Financial Planner in accordance with CFP Board certification and post-certification requirements.
