Simpson Deposition Delayed Second Time

Compiled From Wire Services

For the second time, O.J. Simpson has put off giving a deposition in the wrongful death lawsuits filed against him by the parents of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

Superior Court Judge Alan B. Haber ruled Thursday that Simpson won’t have to give the sworn statement until after a Nov. 15 hearing on his request to seal it and consolidate the three suits filed by Goldman’s mother, father and the parents of Nicole Simpson.

The deposition was scheduled for Oct. 16, then rescheduled for Oct. 30. Simpson’s lawyers had requested more time to prepare since they were new to the case.

Simpson was acquitted of murder Oct. 3 in the June 12, 1994, slayings of his ex-wife and her friend.
