Personal: Age 45 … grew up in Missoula where he attended Catholic school … bachelor’s degree from Carroll College in Helena, master’s in public administration from Whitworth College … principal of East Farms Elementary School in the Spokane Valley, taught in Frederick Post Elementary, Ramsey Elementary in Coeur d’Alene, and served as principal of Seltice Elementary … served as Post Falls mayor since 1991, and on City Council since 1981, and serves on Jobs Plus board and Panhandle Area Council … married with three sons … loves to cook.

Issues: Expand Post Falls’ tax base by attracting business, industry and high-end homes, pursue urban renewal of downtown, improving streets, maintain a strong police force and 911 center, reduce city staff by privatizing services, lobby state for impact fees and greater share of sales and liquor taxes, public access television and build new city facilities. , DataTimes ILLUSTRATION: Photo
