Vikings Set To Make Cash Drops

The Minnesota Vikings caught more passes than any team in the NFL last season (409). There is no official statistic for dropped passes, but the Vikings probably led the league there, too. Wide receivers Jake Reed and Qadry Ismail in particular had their moments.

Now drops will have a price tag - $1. Starting last week, new receivers coach Chip Myers is docking wideouts a buck for every ball they drop in practice or games.

When Myers was at New Orleans last season, the prices were higher - $1 per drop in practice, $5 in games. Michael Haynes was deemed commissioner and the pot hit almost $1,400 by season’s end.
