Districts Consider Emergency Levies

From Staff And Wire Reports

School enrollments are up, but they didn’t catch school officials unaware in Post Falls and Lakeland schools.

Both school districts have scheduled special school board meetings Friday to consider emergency levies for more bus routes and possibly more teachers.

Friday is considered “count day,” when official enrollment figures are compiled.

By Wednesday afternoon, the Lakeland School District had 180 more students than at the same time last year. Post Falls had 120 more.
