City Honored For No Pedestrian Fatalities

Nine consecutive years without a pedestrian fatality earned the city of Post Falls a pedestrian safety citation from the American Automobile Association last week. The award was presented to Post Falls Mayor Jim Hammond at a City Council meeting earlier this week.

Statistics show 5,472 pedestrians were killed in traffic accidents in the United States last year, averaging one every 96 minutes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. , DataTimes
