Infant Girl’s Death Being Investigated

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the Thursday morning death of a 5-month-old Post Falls girl.

Deputies were called to the home of Kelli and David O’Neill at the Royal Highlands about 9 a.m. Thursday because their daughter, Morgan O’Neill, was not breathing. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was administered and the infant was taken to Kootenai Medical Center, said Capt. Ben Wolfinger.

The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.

An autopsy is planned today.
