Police Probe Porn At School

Compiled From Wire Services

The first time the school staff at Prairie View Elementary School found pornographic magazines along the playground fence, they figured it was a first-day-of-school prank.

The second time, they called the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department.

Law enforcement now is investigating the complaint that on Sept. 13 obscene materials were left displayed along the perimeter fence of the playground.

Eighteen of the triple-X-rated magazines were propped up against the fence, with open pages and pornographic photos facing the playground.

Although school officials said that staff members found the magazines, the deputy’s incident report said that third- and fourth-grade students discovered the materials at 10:30 a.m.

Since the incident, said assistant superintendent Jerry Keane, staff members have been walking the perimeter fence first thing in the morning to make sure that children do not find any more magazines.
