Logging Helicopter Crashes; Pilot Hurt

A 46-year-old Sandy, Utah, man was in serious condition in a Utah hospital Tuesday after his logging helicopter crashed.

Chuck Krause was logging by McPherson Canyon near Grace when the aircraft crashed Monday afternoon, the Caribou County sheriff’s office said. Krause suffered injuries to his back and lower extremities.

A medical helicopter took Krause to a Pocatello hospital and later he was sent to University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake.
