Seattle professional Bob Davidson averaged 252.4 for his first 10 games to lead qualifying at the Professional Bowlers Association Northwest Region tournament at Silver Lanes.

Davidson, a six-time winner on the tour, holds a 73-pin advantage on Hugh Miller of Centralia. Miller, who has four titles this year and 18 overall, rolled a 300 during his final game of the day.

Shawn Shilliam of Spokane is third, with 2,282 pins.

Spokane amateur Russell McMichael, who has been a league bowler at Silver Lanes for 34 years, rolled the first perfect game. Shane Blamires of Lewiston just missed a 300, leaving the 7-pin on his final delivery.

Today’s schedule includes a 16-game match play finals. The top five will bowl a TV-style finals, starting at 4 p.m.
