Dear Heloise: At the first of each month I sign and address all birthday cards for the entire month.

I place the date to mail them in the top right corner where the stamp will go to cover it. (I make this part of my first-of-the-month bill-paying day.) I never let anyone’s birthday slip by me.

Dear Heloise: When buying my refrigerator, I got one with the freezer on the bottom, as I do not use the freezer as often as the fridge.

Also, the average person has to bend over to get items out of the fridge when it’s on the bottom. - I. R., Chicago
