Edmonds Sweeps Spokane 7-4, 1-0

Natalie Bowie struck out four and spread out five hits Friday as visiting Edmonds Community College nipped Community Colleges of Spokane 1-0 to sweep an NWAACC fastpitch softball doubleheader at Spokane Falls., Cassandra Bennyhoff had three runs batted in to lead the Tritons to a 7-4 win in the opener.

Laura Schwartz (2-1) of CCS walked none and struck out five in the nightcap, but allowed Mandy Paul’s double and Jody Hanke’s RBI single in the first. Danny Fine of the Sasquatch was 3 for 3, with two doubles, in the opener.
