Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: We open all the windows in our home when there’s a cool breeze. It does, however, become annoying when various doors start slamming.

Instead of buying numerous doorstops, I save our decorative hairbrushes. Their worn bristles do nothing for hair, but placing them down into the carpet and the brush handle under the door keeps every breeze a quiet one. - Kathleena Adams, Statesville, N.C.

What a unique recycling hint! I use an old, purse-size hairbrush to groom Savvi, our miniature schnauzer. How about some other uses? Tell me how you recycle yours. - Heloise
