Boeing To Add 8,200 Workers During 1996
The Boeing Co. said Tuesday it expects to expand its work force by about 8,200 employees during 1996, bringing total employment to about 113,350 by year end. Employment on January 1 was 105,185.
Boeing said the additional jobs are directly attributable to previously announced increases in commercial aircraft production rates.
The bulk of the increase will be in Washington state, where the company expects to add approximately 6,700 employees.
