New faces:

Ken Hoffmann has joined the environmental consulting staff of Dames & Moore, international engineering and environmental consultants, in Spokane. Hoffman has more than six years of experience in remedial investigations, asbestos and lead-based paint building inspections and underground storage tank removal and closure assessments.

Rick Utter has joined the staff of Camp World of Cars. Utter will work in the imports division as a sales representative and lease consultant.

R.W. Robideaux & Co. has hired Lisa Montgomery and Colin Conway. Montgomery, who is an executive assistant in the payroll division, previously worked for the Davenport Seed Corp. Conway, a graduate of Eastern Washington University, is an executive assistant in the commercial division.

Mission Ridge, a new assisted living facility for independent seniors, has appointed Monique Kolonko as director of marketing. Kolonko previously served as director of community relations for Columbia Behavioral in El Paso, Texas, and before that she directed Department of the Army social service agencies in Germany.

Diane Galloway was appointed public relations resource coordinator for Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest. She has more than 20 years of experience in communications.

Michelle James has joined the Spokane general office of New York Life as an agent. James will specialize in financial planning for the professional market.

Sally Bakken Case has joined D. Marie’s Discount Decorating as a decorator consultant in custom window coverings and accessories, carpet and wallpaper. Bakken Case has 17 years of experience in the decorating industry and has worked with builders and on commercial and residential projects.

Scott Hague joined Harris-Dean Insurance in Coeur d’Alene. Hague recently completed State of Idaho requirements as a property and casualty agent. He is a North Idaho College graduate and a longtime Coeur d’Alene resident.

Windermere Real Estate’s Spokane-East Sprague office has hired Anna Brown as a sales associate. Brown had been in the real estate industry since 1994 with Prudential Crane and has past experience in property management.

LeRoy Nosbaum has been named vice president of strategic relationships for Itron Inc. Nosbaum formerly worked for Metricom Inc. as vice president of marketing and executive vice president and general manager of its UtiliNet Division.

Windermere’s Coeur d’Alene office has hired Warren Hagemeier as a sales associate. Hagemeier has a year of real estate experience and previously worked for nearly 20 years with John Fluke Mfg. Co.

Bart Cloninger has joined Windermere’s Spokane-Manito office as a sales associate. Cloninger, who is new to real estate, had worked in the hotel industry for more than 20 years.

James Steiner joined Windermere’s Spokane-North Wall St. office as a sales associate. Steiner spent six years as a general contractor and builder before starting his real estate sales career.

Concerned Businesses of North Idaho has hired Steve Judy as its new executive director. He spent the past three years as a field representative for Sen. Dirk Kempthorne. Judy will promote a healthy business climate that also maintains and enhances the quality of life in Kootenai County.

Barbara Squires is a new sales associate with the John L. Scott Real Estate office in Spokane.

KXLY News4 has hired Kristen Moyles as weekend assignment editor. Moyles, formerly of KHQ-TV, will also serve as associate producer for other newscasts.

David Remington was named chief financial officer for Itron. Remington has 25 years of experience in general corporate financial management, commercial banking and investment banking. Most recently he was a managing director of Dean Witter Realty Inc., and Dean Witter Reynolds Inc.

Zak Designs has hired Rick Brinkman as national sales manager for its recently developed infant division. He is responsible for developing a sales force to expand distribution of the Zak Baby Co. infant product lines. Brinkman will manage the division out of Newcastle, Pa.

Idaho Heppner has joined Windermere Real Estate’s Spokane-East Sprague office. Heppner has worked with Transamerica Title Insurance Co. and Ticor Title Insurance Co.

W. Clinton “Buck” Sterling is the new reference librarian at the Gonzaga University School of Law. Sterling graduated from American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C., and holds a master of library science degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Moving up:

Sterling Savings Association has promoted Wayne Allert to vice president of administrative services. Allert, who joined Sterling in 1988, oversees branch operations, branch security and credit review/quality control.

Shawn Nott has been promoted to manager of general services with QualMed Health Plan. Nott is responsible for facilities management, correspondence control and purchasing.

Jim Dashiell has been promoted to sales manager of Tomlinson Black North Inc. Dashiell has been a sales associate with Tomlinson Black since 1990.

John Allison, a KXLY-TV reporter, is now a co-anchor on News4 Weekend with Kerry Tomlinson. Allison has been reporting for News4 since 1989 and will continue to report three days a week for News4.

The Spokesman-Review announced the following new appointments:

Bob Thomas was named circulation manager and will direct and oversee all circulation-related functions.

Ted Metoyer was appointed home delivery manager.

Marlene Anderson was named classified and consumer sales manager. She will continue to head the classified advertising department and will also serve as sales and marketing consultant to the circulation department.

Nancy Skog was promoted to the new position of consumer promotion coordinator and will direct promotion activities for all business-to-consumer marketing.

Mark Rathbun was named single copy and Newspaper in Education (NIE) manager.

Stanley Hilbert was named corporate controller of Coeur d’Alene-based Hecla Mining Co. He replaces Joseph Heatherly, who retired as vice president/controller. A CPA, Hilbert joined Hecla as senior accountant in 1987 and was promoted to assistant controller in 1993.

Ponderay Newsprint Co. has promoted Bruce Nunn to production manager. The new position combines the jobs of pulp mill manager and paper mill manager. Nunn will have total responsibility for all production areas.

Andrea Dimico is the new manager of U.S. Bank’s Appleway Financial Market in Coeur d’Alene. Dimico, a 12-year banking veteran who joined U.S. Bank in 1994, will oversee sales and service activities from the branch in the Rosauers grocery store at 225 W. Appleway.

Starting up:

Northwest Bedding has a new 8,500-square-foot store at 11402 E. Sprague. A highway interchange construction project forced the 30-year-old business, headed by Bob Evanson, to relocate its showroom. The company’s factory and warehouse previously moved to the West Plains.

Eagle Rehab/Spokane Sports announced the start of Premier Therapeutics. The program, conducted in collaboration with the YWCA, puts patients through a series of exercise routines designed to produce better functional outcomes than traditional therapies at a lower cost.
