Anthony’s Mark Blisters Field
Earl Anthony, who returned to bowling a month ago after a five-year break, routed his nearest competitor by 517 pins to advance to the title game in the Showboat PBA Senior Invitational at Las Vegas.
Anthony, 58, who won a record 41 titles on the regular PBA Tour and has four senior victories, was 18-6 in match play and finished with a pinfall total of 13,559.
The top five advanced to the stepladder final. Before the night session, Spokane’s Jim Frazier stood ninth with 10,835 pins and Gary Mage of Spokane was 11th (10,811). Neither made the top five.
