A New Nebraska?
Riley Washington, a backup receiver last season while facing attempted murder charges, and two other players have left a Nebraska football team that hopes to claim an unprecedented third straight national title.
Cornhuskers coach Tom Osborne also said senior defensive tackle Larry Townsend and redshirt freshman punter Andy Bilanzich will not be back, and senior linebacker Larry Arnold might leave the team.
Former Boise State football player and assistant coach Dan Brown has rejoined the team and will coach linebackers.
Brown will replace interim head coach Tom Mason, who replaces Pokey Allen. Allen is on an indefinite medical leave of absence for treatment of cancer discovered last week.
