Brendan Shanahan scored a power-play goal with 2:28 left in the third period, giving the Detroit Red Wings a 2-2 tie with the Vancouver Canucks in Detroit.
McRae quits
Chicago Blackhawks left wing Basil McRae retired after 16 seasons in the NHL.
“I’m doing what’s best for myself and my family,” McRae said.
McRae, 35, played with seven teams, appearing in 576 games with 53 goals and 83 assists.
