UW Claim Rejected
A claim by former University of Washington football players that the Pacific-10 violated antitrust laws when it banned the Huskies from bowl games for two years was rejected by a federal appeals court in San Francisco.
The players presented no evidence that the ban, imposed for 1993 and 1994, was a disproportionate penalty for the football program’s recruiting violations, said the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
