Kamiakin Trips Up Cv, 46-42
GSL/FL girls
Central Valley passed a test, sort of.
The Bears went on the road and lost, but they gave Kamiakin all it could handle before falling 46-42 in a non-league girls basketball game in Kennewick on Saturday night.
The Braves held Crystal Lee, the Greater Spokane League’s leading scorer last year, to eight points, but they couldn’t stop Andrea Kallas. Kallas knocked down four 3-pointers and led all scorers with 15 points.
Kamiakin, which finished second in the state last year and is expected to be a contender this year, was led by Erin Anglesed with 10 points.
The Braves, favored to win the Big Nine, visit Mead next Friday. The Panthers defeated Kamiakin in the title game last year.
