Don’t Cry For Me, Pablo Picasso

Anthony Hopkins once drew strength from his characters’ inability to cry. These days, the characters he plays cry almost at will. That is particularly true of Pablo Picasso, whom Hopkins portrays in “Surviving Picasso.” The artist as seen in this James Ivory film is selfish, manipulative and abusive. But he’s also a genius, full of the charisma that attracts others even to their detriment. , DataTimes ILLUSTRATION: Photo
