Eagles To Entertain Broncos

After nearly pulling off an upset of national powerhouse Indiana, the Santa Clara men’s basketball team visits Eastern Washington tonight at 7:05 on Reese Court in Cheney.

The West Coast Conference Broncos (4-4) are coming off an 86-74 loss to Indiana in the championship game of the Indiana Classic on Saturday. Marlon Garnett, a 6-foot-3 senior guard, was selected to the all-tournament team after scoring 22 points against both Indiana and Eastern Illinois. He is averaging 17.3 points per game.

Eastern (4-3) is off to its best seven-game start since the 1985-86 season when the Eagles won their first four games and were 5-2 after seven. Eastern beat Sam Houston State 69-66 on Saturday.
