University Seeks To Improve Image

From Staff And Wire Reports

The University of Idaho is working to improve its image.

The school has contacted nine Idaho advertising and public relations agencies about the possibility of a major statewide image-enhancement project.

President Robert Hoover confirmed that the school has requested information from the companies but said he doesn’t know how much the university is prepared to spend on PR.

Jerry Wallace, UI vice president for finance and administration, said the requests for information are to determine what it would cost to put together a marketing effort.

In charge of the project is Bob Hieronymus, former Boise hospital executive who was appointed specialist to the president for marketing last July.

“We are looking for a firm to work with us and enhance our statewide image over several years and help us ultimately better serve the state,” Hoover said.
