Ducks Win Far West Classic
Pac-10
Kenya Wilkins made two free throws with 28 seconds to play, then made the game-winning 10-foot jumper with 4.8 seconds remaining Saturday night as No. 24 Oregon escaped with a 66-64 victory over Oregon State for the championship of the Far West Classic in Portland, Ore.
Ron Grady, one of four freshmen who play regularly for the Beavers, tied the game at 64 with a 22-foot 3-pointer with 15 seconds to go.
Wilkins, who scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half, dribbled the ball into the key and made the soft jumper for the victory. Carson Cunningham, another Oregon State freshman, missed a running 15-footer at the buzzer as Oregon (9-0) became the only Pac-10 team to enter conference play unbeaten.
The Ducks play their Pac-10 opener at Oregon State (4-5) next Saturday.

The 64-point final spread eclipsed one set 20 years ago, when the Wildcats ripped Adams State 115-55 on Dec. 8, 1976.
