Happy Face Killer Describes ‘92 Murder

The Happy Face Killer has described yet another slaying in a letter to the Statesman Journal newspaper.

Keith Jesperson wrote about meeting a woman named Claudia in 1992 in Southern California. They showered together at a truck stop, he wrote, then returned to his truck for “play,” apparently a euphemism for sex.

The letter says she asked for money and he refused, then killed her because he did not like her response of, “We’ll see about that.”

Jesperson entered the Oregon State Penitentiary last week to serve a life sentence for two Oregon killings.
