Woman Arrested After Drugs Found

State narcotics agents arrested a California woman Tuesday after finding four pounds of marijuana and one pound of methamphetamine in the hotel room where she was staying.

Brandy Colby, 25, of Bakersfield, Calif., was arrested on charges of drug trafficking, said Wayne Longo, agent in charge at the Idaho Criminal Investigation Bureau.

Police officers were able to search Colby’s hotel room about 9:30 p.m. Monday because she was on probation for another crime. Part of her probation requirements allow officers to search her at any time, Longo said.

Officers believe the drugs they found were worth about $20,000 - $1,000 for each pound of marijuana and $16,000 for the pound of methamphetamine. , DataTimes
