Police Investigate Drive-By Shootings

From Staff And Wire Reports

Police are investigating a pair of drive-by shootings in downtown Spokane that wounded a Spokane woman and broke the window of a pizza restaurant.

A BB gun was used in the Friday night shootings, police said.

The woman, her husband and two other people were walking on West Second about 8:30 p.m. when they heard several shots coming from a passing car.

The woman, whose identity was withheld, said one BB pellet went through her hair. A second struck her lower lip, but didn’t cause serious injury.

Another pellet cracked the window at Pizza Pipeline Express, 201 W. Second, police said.

The car involved in the shooting was described as a tan, 1970s Oldsmobile Cutlass four-door with tinted windows. The shooter was a white male with a silver pistol.
