Serial Killer Put To Death By Lethal Injection
Serial killer William George Bonin, showing no remorse and described by Gov. Wilson as “a poster child for capital punishment,” was put to death by lethal injection early Friday for the sex slayings of 14 Southern California teenagers.
Bonin’s execution, the first by lethal injection in California, occurred seven minutes behind schedule, starting at 12:08 a.m. at San Quentin Prison after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review his case.
It took Bonin, 49, five minutes to die after executioners began feeding a progression of drugs into the veins of both arms.
