Vikings’ Harris Appears In Court

In Minneapolis, Minnesota Vikings defensive end James Harris bowed his head and stared at the courtroom floor as he was charged with assaulting his wife, and police said he was being investigated for bigamy.

Harris, who was arrested Saturday, was charged with third-degree assault, a felony with a maximum sentence of five years in jail and a $10,000 fine.

Minnesota coach Dennis Green married his business manager over the New Year’s weekend.

Marie Law has been Green’s business manager since 1993. The couple married Saturday in Del Mar, Calif.

The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed former Michigan coach Gary Moeller to coach the team’s tight ends.
