Meyers, Titans Keep Rolling Along

Kim Meyers and University maintained their impressive gymnastics streaks on Thursday.
During a four-way home meet, Meyers swept every event and had a personal-best 36.5 points in the all-around, leaving her unbeaten for the past two years.
U-Hi (12-0) scored a season-high 170.3 in securing its 17th consecutive Greater Spokane League four-way sweep.
Meyers scored an 8.8 on the vault with a front handspring and front tuck that no other GSL gymnast attempts.
Kalie Cossette (35.0) and Coleen Pierce (32.95) gave U-Hi the next two all-around places, while Kelly Herron (32.45) of third-place Mead (9-3) was fourth. North Central (4-8) earned a win over Shadle Park (1-11).
In a four-way at Rogers, Liz Miller won the bars (8.45) and floor (9.05) to guide second-place Ferris (10-2) over Central Valley, the host Pirates and Lewis and Clark.
Miller also took second to Lindsay Linerud of CV (7-5) in the vault. Linerud won the all-around 34.3 to 34.25 by capturing the beam with an 8.9 while Miller was scoring an 8.3.
Kim George, Melanie Wild and Andi Evans of Ferris rounded out the top five all-around. Rogers (4-8) outscored LC (1-11).
