UW’s All-American Milloy Leaving School For Pro Career
All-American free safety Lawyer Milloy announced Friday he is leaving Washington for what he sees as a million-dollar opportunity in the NFL.
Milloy, 22, a junior, is the first Huskies player to leave school before completing his senior year since defensive tackle Steve Emtmann, who became the No. 1 NFL draft pick in 1992.
Milloy has 249 career tackles, including more than 100 tackles in each of the past two seasons. He was one of three finalists for the Jim Thorpe Award and is the seventh Washington player since 1970 to be a consensus All-American.
