Daze Leaves Dallas Dizzy
NHL
Eric Daze scored twice on perfect passes by Bernie Nicholls, and Jeff Hackett made 30 saves Sunday night to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars in Chicago.
Daze has 21 goals, seven more than any other NHL rookie, and passed Jeremy Roenick as the Blackhawks’ leading goal-scorer this season. He is the first Chicago rookie to reach the 20-goal mark since Roenick in 1989-90.
Keith Carney, Brent Sutter and Tony Amonte also scored for Chicago, which is 20-3-3 at home against Dallas since 1988.
