Pair In Clarkston Jail Suspects In Murders

From Staff And Wire Reports

Investigation into the shooting deaths of William and Dalma Fuhriman is centered on two men being held in Clarkston, Wash., on other charges.

Fuhriman and his wife, both 72, were found Saturday shot to death in their southern Bannock County home about three miles from Downey.

James Harvey Hairston, 19, and Richard James Klipfel, 28 are in the Clarkston jail on Colorado warrants charging them with attempted murder and armed robbery.

Bannock County Undersheriff Lorin Nielsen said his investigators are looking at the men as possible suspects in the Idaho killings.

He said the same caliber gun was used to kill the Fuhrimans as was used in the Jan. 4 shooting of a convenience store clerk in Grand Junction, Colo.
