Sixteen Districts Set Votes
Sixteen Spokane County school districts will hold levy elections Feb. 6. Three Spokane Valley school districts also have construction bonds on the ballot.
Central Valley is asking for $23.28 million to build an elementary school at Liberty Lake and do other work. East Valley wants $11.97 million to add classrooms. West Valley wants $4.2 million to add classrooms.
The school districts with their levy amounts and estimated tax rates are:
Spokane: $63.85 million over two years. Tax rate is $3.99 per $1,000 of assessed property value the first year and $3.56 per $1,000 the second year.
Great Northern: $120,000 over two years; $2.74 per $1,000 the first year and $2.61 the second year.
Nine Mile Falls: $2.03 million over two years; $3.90 per $1,000 both years.
Medical Lake: $646,869 over two years; $1.75 per $1,000 both years.
Mead: $15.73 million over two years; $4.85 per $1,000 the first year and $4.06 the second year.
Central Valley: $19.5 million over two years; $4.28 per $1,000 the first year and $3.67 per $1,000 the second year.
Freeman: $1.36 million over two years; $4.19 per $1,000 the first year and $4.12 the second year.
Cheney: $7.23 million over two years; $4.53 per $1,000 the first year and $4.29 the second year.
East Valley: $8.98 million over two years; $4.26 per $1,000 the first year and $4.05 the second year.
Liberty: $1.46 million over two years; $3.65 per $1,000 the first year and $3.79 the second year.
West Valley: $7.5 million over two years; $4.91 per $1,000 the first year and $4.06 the second year.
St. John: $250,000 for one year; $2.89 per $1,000.
Reardan-Edwall: $1.25 million over two years; $3.48 per $1,000 the first year and $3.84 the second year.
Deer Park: $1.85 million over two years; $3.60 per $1,000 both years.
Newport: $344,000 for one year; $1.67 per $1,000.
Riverside: $2.08 million over two years; $3.89 per $1,000 both years.
