Moscow Tops St. Maries To Run League Mark To 7-0

Moscow kept its Intermountain League girls’ basketball record perfect with a 50-31 victory at St. Maries.
The Lumberjacks stayed close early in the game but a 12-4 second-quarter run by the Bears opened a 12-point halftime lead. The Bears (7-0, 15-1) were sparked by Jenny Moslemi with a game-high 15 points including three 3-pointers.
Amy Lemm paced the Lumberjacks with 12 points (2-6, 4-12).

The Spartans used a full-court press to overcome lethargic play in the first half on their way to a 54-48 victory over the visiting Hawks.
Priest River (3-4, 9-7) was down by five at halftime before Sara Suchocki’s six steals sparked a comeback. The Spartans also got 19 points from Missy Ennis.
The Hawks were led by Alyssa Douglas with 15 points.

A tight pressure defense helped the visiting Knights maintain their hold on first place in the NSL.
The Tigers (0-5, 1-12) committed 18 turnovers in the game, and trailed by 13 at halftime.
Junior Margaret SiJohn scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Lakeside (5-0, 11-4).
None of the Tigers broke double-figure scoring.
Mullan and Lakeside both return to NSL action on Tuesday when the Tigers travel to Falls Christian. Lakeside is at Kootenai.
