Four Students Earn Academy Nominations

Four Kootenai County high school students - Darrin Zychek, Eric Conklin, Justin DeArmond and Charity Dooley - have been nominated to U.S. military academies by U.S. Rep. Helen Chenoweth.

Zychek, of Post Falls, has been nominated to West Point. Conklin, a Rathdrum resident, has been nominated to the Naval Academy.

DeArmond is from Hayden Lake and has a trio of nominations - to the Naval, Army and Air Force academies. Dooley of Rathrdum has been nominated to West Point and to the Merchant Marine Academy.

Chenoweth called the students “some of the best Kootenai County has to offer.”
