Hearing On Hydros To Be In Auditorium

Next week’s public hearing on hydroplane races on Lake Coeur d’Alene is being moved to the Lake City High School auditorium.

The City Council is reserving the auditorium for Monday night and Wednesday night beginning at 7. The high school was chosen over City Hall because the council anticipates large crowds, Mayor Al Hassell said.

The auditorium is wired for cable broadcast, so the hearing will be aired on Cable Channel 13.

The hearing won’t necessarily extend to Wednesday evening. But the auditorium has been reserved in case the council cannot hear all of the testimony in one evening, Councilman Ron Edinger said.
