Man Arrested After School Gets Bomb Threat
A 25-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after a bomb threat was phoned in to Kellogg High School.
Shoshone County sheriff’s deputies and Kellogg police officers arrested Michael E. Tarter at his home on a charge of false reports of explosives to a public place.
He is being held at the Shoshone County Jail on $50,000 bond.
The sheriff’s department has been investigating several bomb threats that have been phoned into the high school recently.
The most recent threat was called to the school Monday, according to a sheriff’s report. Police believe Tarter made the phone call but do not know if he was responsible for the previous threats, according to the report.
