UW Voice Dies At 89

G. Spencer “Spence” Reeves, the University of Washington’s public-address sports announcer for nearly 20 years, has died at age 89.

Reeves died July 16 at his home of lung cancer. He called football and basketball games for the Huskies from the mid-1930s to the mid-1950s.
