Man Questioned After Shooting

From Staff And Wire Reports

Police are investigating the Tuesday night shooting of a north Spokane man who called for help about an hour later.

Paramedics found the bleeding man inside his trailer at 3608 E. Queen and rushed him to a hospital.

The victim, whose identity was withheld, was probably shot between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m., police said. The call for help was logged at 7:17 p.m.

A suspect in the shooting was being questioned by detectives late Tuesday, police spokesman Dick Cottam said.

The suspect is a 26-or 27-yearold man whose van was spotted by police at the Exxon station at Wellesley and Market, a few blocks from the trailer, Cottam said.

Investigators searched the trailer and were waiting late Tuesday for a warrant to search the van. The weapon used in the shooting hadn’t been found, Cottam said.

The extent of the victim’s injuries was not immediately known.
