Hints From Heloise
Dear Heloise: When washing my hair, I put a small amount of baking soda in the palm of my hand, add shampoo on top of it, mix and wash. The baking soda strips my hair of all the built-up hair spray, gel, etc. I wash my hair a second time with just shampoo, then condition as usual. This is less expensive than special shampoos that remove built-up materials. I do this every other time I wash my hair. It keeps my hair clean and shiny. - Andrea Robertson, Royal Palm Beach, Fla.
