Venus Lacy apparently will earn the final spot on the U.S. Olympic women’s basketball team.

Lacy has played in the last four games with the 11 members of the national team, all of whom are expected to get Olympic berths, and accompanied the team to Chicago for Saturday’s game with Russia.

Kara Wolters, 6-foot-7 All-American at Connecticut, also is being considered for a spot on the team.

The Olympic team will be announced Sunday.

At Montreux, Switzerland, middle blocker Elaina Oden had 18 kills and four blocks to lead the U.S. women’s national volleyball team to a 15-7, 15-10, 15-8 victory over Russia in the BCV Volley Cup.
