Sandra Bates Named To Post With Appraisers’ Group

Sandra Bates, recently took the title of regional representative for Idaho, Alaska, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado at the annual national conference of the International Society of Appraisers. She was also appointed chairman of the regional representatives.

Bates, an independent appraiser who owns Professional Appraisal Services, has worked in the Coeur d’Alene area for four years as a personal property appraiser. Her work involves insurance coverage, divorce settlements, bankruptcies, claims, estate settlements and charitable contributions.

Dr. Maj Greer StormoGipson, has received her recertification in general pediatric requirements from the American Board of Pediatrics.

The renewal program consists of periodic examination on information related to managing and evaluating problems affecting children and their families.

Dr. StormoGipson is trained to provide comprehensive care for acute chronic illness, act as a consultant to other physicians involved pediatric cases and to supervise and encourage growth, health and development in patients.

Ron Bremer was recently awarded the Certificate of Educational Achievement by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Bremer, a shareholder of Magnuson, McHugh and Co., completed a three-year course combining seven tax-related subjects with exams.

He serves as director of tax services and treasurer of his company and is one of only 100-150 recipients of the annual award.

Erwin C. Markhart, Hayden Lake, recently received the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies highest award for outstanding overall performance.

The group membership is only earned by a small percentage of more than 14,500 district managers and agents serving customers in 29 states throughout the Midwest, West and Southeast.

Nan Sorenson, Kingston, recently graduated from Willamette University with a bachelor of arts degree in Russian and chemistry.

Sorenson, daughter of Wayne and DeAnna Sorenson of Enaville, was also presented with a Pepsi Residence Life Scholarship, a Dr. Robert R. and Pauline F. Wulf Scholarship and a Ben B. Cheney Foundation Scholarship.
