Cigar’s handlers have accepted an invitation for the horse to run in the 1-1/8-mile Arlington Citation Challenge on July 13 in Chicago.

In the special race, which could be worth $750,000 to the winner, the 6-year-old Cigar will try to match Citation’s modern thoroughbred record of 16 consecutive victories.
